Transactions Policy
This Transactions Policy explains how payments work when you shop with Emma & Owen Vancouver, which methods we accept, how your payment data is protected, and what to do if a payment does not go through. It should be read together with our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
1. Accepted payment methods
We accept major credit and debit cards and digital wallets, including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Shop Pay. The methods shown at checkout may vary slightly depending on your device and location.
2. Payment process
Paying is simple: choose your payment method at checkout, enter your details on the secure payment screen, and confirm. Your payment is authorised and processed instantly, and you receive an email confirmation once your order is placed.
3. Secure payment processing
All transactions are protected with SSL encryption. Payments are handled by Shopify Payments and our other providers, who comply with international security standards (PCI-DSS). Your full card details are never stored on our servers.
4. Failed or rejected payments
If a payment is declined, please check your card details, try an alternative payment method, or contact your bank, which can advise why a transaction was not authorised. If you continue to have trouble, contact us and we will be glad to help.
5. Currency
All prices and charges are shown and processed in Canadian dollars (CAD). If you pay with a card issued in another currency, your bank may apply its own conversion rate and fees.
6. Order confirmation & cancellations
You will receive an email confirmation once your payment is successful. Orders can be cancelled within 30 minutes of being placed at no charge; see our Returns & Refunds Policy for details.
